The City of Sandy Springs will host a public input meeting in partnership with the Community Assistance Center, LaAmistad, Los Niños Primero, and Solidarity Sandy Springs. Community members will be available to view and comment on the proposed Roswell Road Transit, Pedestrian and Streetscape improvement project.

WHEN: Thursday, August 25 at 6:00pm
WHERE: The LaAmistad, Los Niños Primero, and CAC – South Sandy Springs location
120 Northwood Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30342

The project will be funded jointly by the City of Sandy Springs and a MARTA Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Grant. The funds will be used to improve pedestrian access to transit and the sidewalk network along the Roswell Road corridor south of I-285 to Wieuca Drive. Improvements will also include ADA curb ramps, bus stop shelters, lighting, brick pavers and landscaping to compliment MARTA transit services along Roswell Road.

An existing median will be extended from Peruca Place to I-285, and a proposed signalized mid-block crossing will provide pedestrians a formally-designated location to safely cross Roswell Road.

The public, especially those in the neighborhood most directly affected by these specific changes, is encouraged to come to the meeting to share their thoughts on the plans. Please indicate if you are coming by filling out the form below.
