The Community Assistance Center, along with Boy Scout Troop 764 out of St. Luke’s Presbyterian Church, received over 200 pounds of food donations while walking the Dunwoody 4th of July Parade. After a torrential downpour near the beginning of the parade, Scouts pushed grocery carts and collected 224 pounds of nonperishable food items for distribution at all three CAC food pantries, located around Sandy Springs and Dunwoody. CAC staff, Board members, and volunteers walked alongside the CAC van, greeting parade-goers and passing out information about CAC’s emergency assistance programs.
