Sandy Springs, GA – Community Assistance Center, CAC, is proud to announce that they have been awarded top honors from two trusted national charity evaluators. CAC received a 100% score and the 4-star rating from Charity Navigator as well as the Platinum Seal of Transparency from GuideStar, the highest rating available from either organization. Both ratings highlight the mission of CAC and positive impacts on the communities it serves.

As the premier human services organization in the Perimeter area, our responsibility to serve our community well is our number one focus.”

Northrop explains that these independent rating organizations help donors and volunteers be confident that their money and time are contributing to successful and impactful nonprofit organizations. With top rankings from both Charity Navigator and GuideStar, CAC proves that it is utilizing its resources in the best and most effective ways for the Sandy Springs and Dunwoody communities.

As evidence of CAC’s transparency, the organization’s tax returns are readily available on the CAC website. Charity Navigator explains that the 100% score for Accountability and Finance, “…provides an assessment of a charity’s financial health (financial efficiency, sustainability, and trustworthiness) and its commitment to governance practices and policies.”

GuideStar, run by the company Candid, evaluates a nonprofit’s goals, strategies, and metrics that demonstrate impact. Their Platinum Seal of Transparency is the highest rating available.
