The CAC Career Center recently hosted a jobseeker bootcamp aimed at equipping individuals with essential job search skills. Partnering with Deloitte, one of the world’s premier accounting and consulting firms, jobseekers had the chance to visit Deloitte’s Sandy Springs office and interact one-on-one with more than 20 Deloitte volunteers as part of Deloitte’s global Impact Day.

Participants in the bootcamp had their resumes reviewed by Deloitte employees, ensuring their application materials were polished and professional. The bootcamp featured workshops where attendees learned advanced job search techniques, including leveraging online job boards and utilizing social media to find potential opportunities. By receiving feedback and guidance directly from experienced professionals at Deloitte, jobseekers were able to enhance their resumes and optimize their job search strategies.

In addition to resume reviews, the boot camp provided extensive practice in interviewing and networking. Deloitte employees conducted mock interviews, offering constructive criticism and tips for improving performance in real-life interview scenarios. This hands-on experience was invaluable for participants to build confidence and refine their responses to common interview questions. Moreover, the boot camp emphasized the importance of networking, teaching jobseekers how to effectively connect with industry professionals both online and in person. Through these activities, participants learned how to create meaningful professional relationships, giving them a competitive edge in the job market.
