Doug is an Executive Vice President with Holder Construction and brings significant experience management and business expertise to CAC’s Board. Doug is a two-term past President of the Construction Education Foundation of Georgia (CEFGA) Board of Directors and served on the Board of Directors for AGC of Georgia. He is active with Habitat for Humanity, the Austin Drive Community Center, The Spinal Shepard Center and First Tee Atlanta. Doug graduated from the University of Central Florida with an Engineering degree.

Cece spent 32 years with The Coca-Cola Company, taking on challenges that involved developing strategy, structure, and procurement plans around the world. In Switzerland, she helped establish a successful operating model for Coke’s global franchise system. She served as VP of Procurement for the North America division, and in Shanghai, she helped establish a new Global R&D center. Her skills and experience have frequently spilled over into her personal life, chairing the board for a non-profit organization that serves the homeless of Atlanta, various leadership roles for her church, and consulting with the Atlanta Board of Education to teach leadership skills to teachers and administrators. Since retirement, Cece began volunteering frequently at CAC, working with clients in financial assistance, youth programs, and the food pantry. Her husband, Don, volunteers at CAC in the food pantry as does her daughter Jolynn and her husband Roy Sockwell. They have two children, four grandchildren, and enjoy spending time with family, traveling, and gardening, and giving back to the community through volunteering.

Christina Porter is the Business Administrator for Chamblee First United Methodist Church and has a long history of nonprofit and community involvement. She previously spent 10 years as Program Director at Childspring International, overseeing the transportation and care of medically fragile children.

Christina is the founder of the Chamblee Coalition on Homelessness, where she has worked for the past five years to increase awareness, advocate for greater resources and bring together community partners to address the needs of unhoused individuals in North DeKalb. The Coalition’s efforts have helped lead to DeKalb County establishing an annual budget for housing initiatives, including a specific plan to serve individuals experiencing homelessness in North DeKalb.

Christina is passionate about bringing people together to strengthen the community and improve the lives of neighbors in need.

Neal serves as Head of Underwriting and Portfolio Management for  White Oak Commercial Finance’s Lender Finance business. He has 30+ years of experience in the finance industry, including structuring ABL, Cash Flow and Mezzanine transactions. His broad experience enables him to understand and evaluate all tranches of the capital stack, which has led to meaningful discussions and negotiations with all stakeholders. During his career, Neal has held positions in underwriting, portfolio management, new business development, field exams, accounting, and mergers & acquisitions for businesses including AloStar, CIT, Regions Bank and Heller Financial. Neal serves/has served in various roles for his community and church, including Leadership Sandy Springs, Dunwoody Homeowners Association, Dunwoody United Methodist Church, and Habitat for Humanity. In addition, he has coached travel softball for 10 years.

Sue Appleyard has worked in the consumer goods packaging industry for more than 36 years in various capacities. She began her career as a process engineer at James River Corporation (now Graphic Packaging International) and progressed into corporate quality, sales and supply chain roles at Westvaco (now Smurfit Westrock) and ExxonMobil. In 2011 she returned to Graphic Packaging where she is director of global communications. Sue also serves on the Board of Bike Roswell!, a cycling advocacy group devoted to creating a more bicycle-friendly community.

Sue holds a Bachelor of Science in industrial and operations engineering from the University of Michigan and an MBA from DePaul University. 

Lauren is an Atlanta native with over a decade of progressive experience in human resources.  She is currently an HR Director at Graphic Packaging International, a global manufacturing organization headquartered in Sandy Springs. Lauren graduated from Tuskegee University with a Psychology degree and holds a Master of Education degree from Georgia State University.

Jennifer is the founder of Corporate Hartz, which provides consulting expertise in corporate social responsibility, sustainability, and philanthropy services for donor-advised funds and family foundations. Her background includes in-house roles at iXL Enterprises and The Home Depot, as well as consulting through McKinsey & Company and Cresap (Towers Watson). She has gained vast non-profit expertise through engagements with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Habitat for Humanity International. Jennifer has an MBA with a concentration in Public Policy from Georgia Tech and a BA in Industrial Psychology from University of Pennsylvania. She is the Advisory Council Chair of Hands On Atlanta, as well as an alumna of Outstanding Atlanta, Leadership Atlanta, and the Marshall Memorial European Fellowship program. Jennifer, her husband, and their 4 grown children are active volunteers in the community.

Stephen retired from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta after a 34-year career, serving in a variety of analytical and leadership roles in the Research, Payments, and Corporate Planning areas. He began his career as an analyst in the Research division providing data analysis in support of monetary policy. He was later involved in strategy development and operational reengineering of the Federal Reserve’s check payments infrastructure from paper to electronics. Most recently, Stephen was the Bank’s Vice President and Controller responsible for finance, accounting, procurement, and corporate-wide strategic planning. He also oversaw enterprise risk management and served as the Bank’s Efficiency Officer.

Stephen holds an MBA and BBA in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Georgia. Since retirement, he has been a frequent volunteer devoting his time to local nonprofit organizations. When not volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends (including his best pal and dog, Harley), traveling the world with his wife Jodi, and everything Georgia Bulldog-related.  

Matt is President of Mather Economics, an analytics consulting firm based in Sandy Springs that helps companies with applied analytics. Mather Economics has been honored as one of the Bulldog100 and the Inc. 5000. Matt founded Mather Economics in 2002 after working at Arthur Andersen and United Parcel Service. Matt is married to Annie, and they have three daughters. They attend All Saints Catholic Church in Dunwoody and are active at the Marist School. Matt has a PhD and BBA in Economics from the University of Georgia and a Masters in Applied Economics from Clemson. He serves on the Boards of the YMCA’s Camp High Harbour and America’s Newspapers, a news media industry association. Matt is a member of the American Economic Association. He enjoys golf, tennis, and UGA football.

Bianca has nearly 15 years’ experience in strategy and marketing. She is currently Managing Director, Mexico at Veritiv, a leading distributor of packaging, facility solutions and print products, and serves as Vice President of the company’s Women’s Employee Resource Group. Prior to Veritiv, Bianca advised multinational corporations on sustainability and communications. Bianca holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish from Cornell University and an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta School of Business. 

Arjé is a realtor and founding partner at Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Perimeter. She and her husband, Jim, own The McCarty Group which has been recognized as an Atlanta Realtors Association Top Producer for over 30 years. Arjé is committed to the community and as an active member of the Dunwoody United Methodist Church and Dunwoody Woman’s Club she has chaired or served on various committees. Arjé graduated from the University of North Carolina and has two adult children.

Nicole is the Director of TI:GER (Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results) – an innovative partnership between Emory and Georgia Institute of Technology that brings together graduate students in law, business, science, and engineering to take innovative ideas from the lab to the marketplace. As a Professor in Practice, Nicole’s areas of expertise include patent law, patent litigation, IP licensing, and strategy. Prior to joining the Emory faculty, Nicole was the Managing Patent Counsel at The Coca-Cola Company. She has over ten years of experience practicing patent law in large and mid-sized law firms, and worked as an engineer for six years with 3M and Eli Lilly. Nicole is a frequent speaker on patent law topics, a member of many professional legal associations, and licensed to practice in many states. Nicole has a law degree from the University of Minnesota, an MS in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University.

Ron is a Senior Rabbi at Temple Sinai in Sandy Spring, a community he has served since July 1996 upon ordination from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC). Ron was named the congregation’s third Senior Rabbi in July 2006. Ron is an active participant in the Atlanta Rabbinic Association as well as in the Sandy Springs Interfaith Clergy Association, an organization he proudly co-founded. His prior board leadership includes the American Jewish Committee, Atlanta Jewish Federation, the Davis Academy, Holy Innocents Episcopal School, and other local entities and agencies. Ron also served on the North American boards of the Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR), including as President (2019-2021), HUC, the Union for Reform Judaism, and the Reform Pension Board. He is an alum of Leadership Atlanta and the Faith in the City Leadership Institute, and he enjoys speaking and teaching in religious and civic settings throughout the greater Atlanta community. He and his wife Jill have two adult sons, Adam and Ben.

Kevin is a commercial litigation attorney at Sugarman Law LLP.  Kevin and his family reside in Sandy Springs.  He enjoys traveling and running.  Kevin has a law degree and a master’s degree (psychology) from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree (psychology) from Belmont University.
