CAC Cares for Kids
Your contributions are essential to helping children in our community
CAC youth programs benefit local children of families who are facing difficult times. With donor support, CAC serves children whose families can’t afford what many other children have. The gifts of seasonal items mean a lot more to the children than the value of the items. They help ensure children of families in need do not go hungry in the summer, are proud to go back to school with a new backpack and experience the joy of holiday gifts.
MEALS FOR KIDS
While school is out, CAC provides children with five kid-friendly meals each week to help fill the summer nutrition gap. A $35 gift supplies one child with a summer of easy-to-prepare lunches. This program is perfect for group projects—donate funds, host a drive, or give online. Help ensure no local child goes hungry during summer.

TOOLS FOR SCHOOL
Help kids start the school year prepared. Your $40 gift provides a new backpack filled with school supplies tailored to the child’s grade. Thanks to bulk buying, your gift stretches even further. Tools for School supports about 1,000 local students each year. Donations of new, sturdy backpacks and supplies are welcome.

COATS FOR KIDS
Each fall, CAC partners with the Knights of Columbus from St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church to provide new winter coats to local children in need. With your help, we serve children from birth through age 18 and offer warm extras like hats and gloves. Support keeps kids warm and families supported.

HOPE FOR THE HOLIDAYS
At year’s end, CAC matches families with sponsors to provide gifts for each registered child. Help brighten the holidays by giving joy to a local child. Sponsors view family stories and choose one to support. Plan to spend ~$100 per child and bring new, unwrapped gifts to CAC. The program serves about 1,500 children each year.

Prepare up to 1,000 backpacks with school supplies to students each year.
Give holiday gifts to more than 1,500 children each year.
Provide more than 500 children each year with new winter coats.
Distribute more than 3,000 summer lunch bags (15,000 lunches) each year.
