Join Us in Making a Difference

Serving Dunwoody and Sandy Springs, CAC is the go-to human services organization in the Perimeter area. When neighbors are in need, they turn to us. Become a CAC Household today and help us provide essential support to neighbors facing a crisis, keeping a roof over their head and food on the table.

When we come together, small contributions can make a big impact to families in need.

Either through our online donation portal or while you’re at the grocery store, your contribution of shelf-stable food staples is the key to preventing hunger and fighting food insecurity in our community.

Don’t let your gently used clothing and household goods go to waste – donate them to CAC’s Canopy Thrift Shop! Since our thrift shop is volunteer-run, all proceeds go directly to the CAC Emergency Assistance program.

With a small, recurring donation of funds, CAC can count on a steady fund to fill in the gaps or address a sudden need. We suggest $10 a month, but please choose an amount that feels comfortable for you.

How It Works

Give Food

You can pick up a couple of items during your family’s grocery run and drop them off at any of our three Mini-Market locations during our open hours; select from our most-needed items on our online donation portal; or donate funds for CAC to purchase food in bulk through partners like the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Give Clothing

Through our Canopy Thrift Shop, we take your like-new clothing, accessories, shoes, select furniture, and household goods to either provide them free of cost to families in need, or sell them to the community. You can drop off your donations during our open hours, Monday through Saturday. Pre-approved furniture may qualify for pickup.

Give $10 a month

Whether it’s kid-friendly food for our Summer Lunches program or financial assistance to help a family keep the electricity on, your recurring donation will directly help families in need in our community. CAC has consistently been given top marks for our fiscal responsibility by independent nonprofit evaluators because we use donated funds where they’re needed the most.

… the CAC really saved me when I needed it most. In case no one has told you today; I really appreciate the incredible work [CAC is] doing and the great things everyone who volunteers and works at the CAC does.”

This place is spectacular. The food is high quality, and they even have food for people with special needs, like Diabetes. I received vitamins for my son. The staff is very polite. The discount store that has furniture and clothes should be visited, the clothes are in good condition. Furniture etc. It is a blessing that Sandy Springs has this community outreach center.”

Your neighbor that let you merge in

I am the one who normally donated to CAC. However, I fell on bad times and they treated me as a human, not a vagrant! EVERYONE from those in the financial office, food bank, and clothing facility was absolutely phenomenal! I sincerely thank you ALL! I wish more people would give to this non-profit organization!”

Your neighbor that walks in your neighborhood

I want the CAC team to know how very much I appreciate your organization and the devoted volunteers. The food and financial assistance has been a MAJOR help to me! Thanks to you, my family was able to pay our rent this month. There aren’t enough words to express my appreciation, but still… THANK YOU!
