Through connections with local organizations, the Career Center can connect you with job skill training programs, often at no cost to you.
About the Career Center
CAC launched the Career Center initiative in September, 2021. The Career Center is a natural extension of CAC’s mission of providing emergency assistance to those in need and promoting their self-reliance.
The Career Center offers a wide range of services, including volunteer Career Advocates, who serve in a mentorship role both short term and long term basis. The objective of the Career Center is provide guidance for career transition, help enter the job market, and to provide tools for our clients to find better jobs and transition into financial self-sufficiency.
All jobseekers, including those from outside of Dunwoody and Sandy Springs, are welcome to make use of Career Center services.

Job Connections
CAC works with local companies, from independently-owned businesses to Fortune 500 companies, to create connections between jobseekers and hiring managers. Job searches are facilitated not only on a one-on-one basis through our Career Advocates, but through job fairs and informational sessions designed to get jobseekers into higher-paying jobs at an accelerated rate.
Career Workshops
CAC’s Career Center, in partnership with Goodwill of North Georgia, provides FREE workshop sessions to help jobseekers in their job search. At every event, you’ll have the opportunity to register for Goodwill’s Career Connector platform, which will give you access to tools like a resume builder, job board, job training, and more!

Women in Technology (WIT) Single Mothers ProgramWomen in Technology (WIT) is providing a cyber Security Certificate program to benefit 20 adult single mothers per semester, living in poverty, interested in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) workforce education and employment, and are looking to improve the quality of their lives and the lives of their children. The Cyber Security Educational Program for Single Mothers overall goal is to support single mothers (in Georgia) living in poverty who are in college and/or working and have a foundational understanding of technology, to work with WIT and our program partners to be educated in Cyber Security and Information Security, one of the fastest growing fields in technology with an astounding workforce gap and shortage of talent amongst men and women. |
Goodwill Career ServicesGoodwill of North Georgia provides jobseekers with a variety of tools, workshops, job fairs, and programs to help North Georgians find their new career path. In 2021, Goodwill helped over 20,000 jobseekers find new employment. Goodwill’s Career Services Programs provide training for an in-demand job path, often at no cost to you, thanks to grants. With courses ranging from 5-16 weeks, counseling, and assistance with job placement after program completion, Goodwill is ready to help CAC Career Center clients! Programs may include:
