Brandi Hoyos

Marietta City Schools

Brandi currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Marietta City Schools and supports the district by working directly with leadership to ensure more equitable and inclusive culture, curriculum, programming, and policies.   Most recently, she served as the Director of Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action at the Mount Vernon School.  During her tenure there, Brandi consulted on behalf of the Mount Vernon Ventures team, served on all admissions and hiring committees, and built formal partnerships as a liaison for the school with external experts, nonprofits, government entities, and corporations.  Prior to her role at Mount Vernon, she held similar positions in diversity, equity, and inclusion at The Lovett School and Trinity School in Atlanta, as well as served as a mentor for diversity practitioners for the Southeastern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), and was Vice President of Diversity Directors for the Atlanta-Area Association of Independent Schools (AAAIS).  Outside of her work, Brandi serves on the Leadership Sandy Springs Board of Trustees, the Community Assistance Center’s Board of Directors, and the Advisory Board for Saint Anne’s Day School.
