Services Overview

CAC helps residents of Sandy Springs and Dunwoody facing emergency situations meet the basic needs of food, shelter and clothing. CAC assists individuals and families experiencing unexpected financial crisis from situations such as a job loss or other reduction of income, illness, medical emergency, divorce or catastrophic situations such as fire or flood.

Immediate goals are to stabilize crisis situations and prevent homelessness and hunger. Youth programs enrich the lives of children of families in need. CAC promotes longer term goals of self-sufficiency through additional programs and referrals.

CAC is a private nonprofit organization and all services are made possible by grants, donations and a large volunteer force. CAC typically serves 6,500 individuals a year from 3000 households. Since CAC was founded in 1987, the Center has touched 20,000 families in our community.
