Youth & Family Programs
CAC gives children the support they need
Through a variety of youth programs for CAC clients, CAC ensures that every child has what they need to thrive year-round. The child’s family must be a current CAC client to participate in the programs. Some programs require separate registration and additional documentation separate from the client enrollment process.
SUMMER LUNCHES
While school is out for the summer, CAC provides school-aged children with five easy-to-prepare meals each week.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
We provide school-aged children with age-appropriate school supplies and a brand-new backpack for the new school year.
COATS FOR KIDS
In partnership with the Knights of Columbus, CAC provides new coats for hundreds of children each autumn.
HOLIDAY GIFTS
At the end of each year, CAC matches families in need with donors to provide gifts for every registered child.
Summer Lunches Program
During the summer school break, CAC provides each school-aged child with a pack containing five easy-to-prepare meals each week. These packs are available at all our CAC Mini-Market locations, as assigned by the program coordinator. If you are a current CAC client, no additional documentation is required to enroll your child in the program.

Tools for School – School Supplies
We help get students ready for the new school year by supplying grade-appropriate school supplies to CAC clients in brand-new backpacks. Supplies may include notebooks, pencils, crayons, folders, binders, glue, paper, etc. Additional documentation is required for this program: verification of enrollment in a school in Dunwoody or Sandy Springs is required. Supplies may be limited; the program operates on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.

Coats for Kids
The CAC Coats for Kids program provides free, new jackets to local children in time for winter. This program is open to children newborn up to and including 18 years of age from CAC client families who live in Dunwoody and Sandy Springs. The number of coats available is limited, so they are available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis. CAC cannot guarantee the availability of any given size. Once the program is full, additional registrations will be put on a waitlist at the program coordinator’s discretion. No additional documentation is required to enroll in the program.
The Coats for Kids program is now full for the 2023 fall season.

Holiday Gifts & Holiday Food
CAC believes every CAC family should be able to celebrate the year-end holiday of their choice. We make that easier by providing holiday food in either November or December. In addition, CAC clients can register their children in our Holiday Gift program, which pairs each family’s children with a donor, who provides an age-appropriate gift for each child.
